Ukraine War Ops NOTAM

20 FEB 2022

NOTAM: UFN all CPX PIC and dispatchers are to avoid overflight and conducting of operations in the following FIR's for flight safety due to geopolitical instability. Routing deviations to avoid the following FIR's are hereby authorized until rescinded. UKDV, UKBV, UKLV, UKOV, UKFV, UMKK, UMMV, UUWV, URRV, ULLL, ULMM 

23 FEB 2022 - 2131 EST

Ukraine has closed its airspace to all civil traffic. NOTAM A0576/22 was issued at 0200Z, making all five FIR's in Ukraine unavailable for civil aviation, citing potential hazard to flights. Enroute traffic which had been using western Ukraine for overflights has already vacated the airspace. Further developments likely tonight.

In addition to the above NOTAMS All CPX PIC and dispatchers are to avoid conducting flight operations in the LBSR (SOFIA) FIR east of 28 Degrees east or the airways P727 T777 L619, In the LTBB (Istanbul) FIR East of UP727 and North of UN644, and in the UGGG (Tbilsi)FIR North of N11 and West of 45 Degrees East. Operations in the LBBB (Bucharest) FIR East of 46 degrees East and North of 44 degrees North are Prohibited. Operations to LTFM are authorized however the airport may not be planned as an alternate or enroute alternate UFN

24 FEB 2022 - 2046 EST

UFN all CPX flights and overflights of russian airspace including oceanic airspace are prohibited. If this results in the requirements for technical stops for fuel those shall be planned in advance and the entire flight filed as a manual pirep that includes the flight times and fuel burns for all legs of the flight. For example if I need a tech stop I will fly and record the flight times from A-B including any intermediate stops for refueling that are required enroute. Those times and fuel burns will all be added and submitted as part of the manual pirep. If anyone has any questions please ask. All other airspace restrictions above remain in effect.
